March 1, 1883 – July 22, 1917

The third daughter and seventh child born to Dumas Maness and Emeline Strickland, Malinda was born March 1, 1883 in Sheffield Township.  Malinda attended school at St. Phillips Episcopal Church School and attended New Zion Church with her family.  Malinda never married nor had any children.  She lived at home with her parents until her death on July 22, 1917.  Malinda became ill and was unable to receive medical attention.  She is buried at New Zion Church Cemetery, Robbins, NC.
